Well my comment was wrt to a claim that "secure borders" somehow would have protected the USA from CV-19, something which is asininely stupid to think, so I was just trying to understand how anyone with two or more neurons between their ears might think so. We know that CV-19 came into the USA through those "secure borders" i.e. it was legal travel with all the correct documents and approved by immigration control. The problem was lack of any effective control of people with the virus coming in, it wasn't a matter of their visa or passport being in order. And Trump has continued that failure up to the present AFAIK. There are plenty of stories of the recent travelers coming back from Europe not even being tested at all. But they had USA passports! Yippee!
