Sean, Thanks for the quick reply. I recently purchased Metastock 6.5 and Quotes +. Meta has a data disk of historical files. I mainly deal in US stocks so I am downloading these stocks from the Meta disk to a file called c:\US Stocks. I've noticed that the folders in this file should only contain 255 files. Is this true. If so I have started creating files as such c:\US Stocks\A, c:\US Stocks\B, etc. These are the historical files up to 10/17/97 That's all Ive done for Meta. Then I went to Quotes Plus (QP) and begun downloading the daily quotes from 11/14/97 to date. The other files 10/17 to 11/14 were not available to open. How do I get these missing dates? Now I would like to update my Meta files with the daily quotes data so I have a complete historical database. Once I get the hang of downloading the QP data and then updating the Meta files I'll be a happy camper. I've read the manuals several times and emailed both tech support centers. I still cant get it to work. I even had to uninstall Meta and reinstall. It is getting very frustrating learning TA and not being able to create a TA system. Can you give me step by step instructions on what I should do to get thedata from QP and transferring it to Meta. Are the files I have setup OK or do I need to create new ones? Exactly which files do I transfer from QP to Meta to update the historical Meta database? I hope you can help I about out of patience. TIA Theo
