I apologize to everyone for ruining this thread by bringing "Barney Bear"
MacPherson out of the woodwork by mentioning his name. For Rod,
cover your DIMD short, ask DIMD for an apology if they fired you.
Whatever your problem is, put it behind you. PD

I was only trying to get lml to learn about DIMD by dealing with them on a first hand basis. I believe the communications division's next big project will be a single chip pnp card cable modem, not a DSL modem. Perhaps this concept is not currently even being considered. But if lml goes to investor relations and gets nowhere, it tells us that they aren't thinking ahead. An interaction with this thread through lml might drift around the company and suggest to the engineers that they should look at that possibility. On the other hand maybe they have something in mind down this line. lml could learn about cable modem and by taking the second part, learn about DSL and how DIMD will be positioning itself with respect to these not-so-competing technologies. In this whole process lml learns about whether he really wants to be invested in DIMD by learning about the company directly. We get his feedback and he uses our collective voice as a means to encourage the revealing of the company's position on prospective exploitable technologies.

It is possible for each of us to contribute a very little, and much valid insight can be gained into the inner workings of the company. In the integrated whole that comes from the thread dialectic process, our small contributions accumulate leverage. No one needs to change their style or interest, but if everyone tries to get to the bottom of it, we will. That means a lot of acrimonious debate too. I have no ax to grind. If I can know what I'm about to invest in, I can make a good decision whether to invest.

Everyone can speak for themselves and your time is not everyone's time, although I agree that I am wasting both your time and mine trying to explain which way is up to somebody who doesn't want to listen. Nice move on the stock today, looks like you have a better handle on this than I do since I was expecting it to drop precipitously after the runup on Christmas earnings and obviously it's continued upward. At least, I think that's right... wait, let me take another look at that seven-day chart....
