Dennis Just got back from Cozumel last night. Flew Continental from Seattle to Huston to Cozumel. Stayed one week at La Fiesta Inn.. Good food there and at many places in downtown Cozumel about 8 blocks north of hotel. Dove with Dive Paradise on their "fast boats". Lots of divers from North America and some from the approximately 7 to 10 cruise ships who dock there weekly. I've never been there before and thought there were too many divers (a crowd!) for my tastes. Water temp 80 degrees F, vis was variable 50 to 100 feet. All of the dives are drift dives with currents of 1 1/2 to 3 knots being typical. Wx was great last week, mostly overcast with periods of clearing high temps of about 82 in the afternoon and cooling to the high 60's early in the morning. My wife and I enjoyed our stay but would probably not go back there. Im planning to dive Truk Lagoon from the Thorfin next January and then going on to Palau.
