Yup, with all those splits and the dilution of shares on DEC seems like the market is awash in cpq shares.

That's right. Market generally overreacts to CPQ news, good and bad. I think the DEC deal makes a lot of sense in the long term, but also adds a speculative nature to the stock pricing in the near-term. In playing options, volatility is good.

BTW, I also think that alot of Fund managers who bailed late '97 will see this drop as a great entry point to get in on a potentially good long term buy.
