Old institutions are colliding with new paradigms in information flow... and decision making. In response... "we must exert control" is the knee jerk reaction... because you can't have people making choices for themselves... particularly not about which candidates, or which leaders, best represent their interests ? It will end with pitchforks, tar, feathers, rails, gallows and guillotines... as the "control" is exposed as nothing more than the continuing legacy of the failed schemes of "authority" of the past... As the fact of the control is exposed by its advocates in context of their failures... the purpose justifying it ? Hard to discuss the reason for tolerating such inanity as bureaucracy... when the fact of it, even in the most routine choices in life, is still being hidden rather than "justified" ?
