Trump closed the border to China as part of his trade war, not because of the Covid-19 virus. When Trump closed the border to China, he and his minions were still laughing and joking about the virus, saying it was a big hoax. Most republicans did not realize how serious the virus was until they started getting sick. Mugs hannity and rush are responsible for that, as much as trump.
