And I suppose that explains why the USA is the worst responder of all so far?

I recall you making a prediction before in response to my asking you how the USA would do, you thought we would do worse than some, better than other. Well, the answer is coming in, we are the worst of the lot. So you need to work on your predictions a little harder...

There was good reason to expect our shitty response as I pointed out at the time 1) An overwhelming amount of bullshit from Trump/GOP/Faux News & Co, and their happily gullible followers, and 2) a propensity to value individual freedom over social responsibility.

Live Free or Die! Oops, that should be Live Free AND Die. Fuck up on the conjuction...

Not sure about the coronavirus panic, but I'll make a somewhat related prediction. The misery and suffering of the depression that results from destroying huge swaths of our economy will outweigh, by at least an order of magnitude, that caused by actual coronavirus infections.
...and that's if we're lucky.

Too bad that first stitch was called a hoax. Too bad we're STILL barely testing. Too bad our pandemic response team was dismantled. Too bad all responsibility for handling this is being laid on the States.

Oh well.
