Thomas, as politically incorrect Trump is, long-term his "Made in America" rhetoric and his reputation for standing up to China, even when it was criticized by both the left and right, will benefit him.

All Trump has to do is NOT FUCK UP the current efforts to "flatten the curve" and to get past this crisis without overwhelming our health care infrastructure.

Given his demeanor, I have my doubts, but he's proven me wrong before.

Nassim Nicholas Taleb:

The scoop: Trump's staff relied on OUR memo from Jan 26, which gave solid grounds to ignore "academic" naive forecasting models estimating low impact from the China virus.

Exactly so! And does the media give him any credit for that? Nope. They claimed he was racist for banning travel to China, when it saved thousands of lives. Then later, they said he hasn't done enough. What a joke the liberals have become. This is why Americans don't vote for liberals anymore. They prefer to kill countless numbers of Americans instead of putting Americans First, like Trump does.
