I don't think they would have thought about that angle... I'm certainly not claiming that they genetically spliced it together. Perhaps looking for the kind of virus they preferred from various animal sources. Possibly even human testing on Chinese subjects (prisoners, malcontents.. etc). China knows they cannot take the US on in a straight out military conflict that might lead to getting nuked. That's why they never focused on building up their nuclear arsenal to the extents that the US and Russia did. But they have been big on Bio-Weapons research.. I don't believe there is any doubt about that. NOW, the other speculation is that they were testing a SARS vaccine on their own population and it backfired on them (Antibody Dependent Enhancement-ADE) and when they let loose the live virus, it became uncontained because those vaccine recipients went full blown immunopathic.. A problem seen in lab animal tests.. But maybe they didn't count on aymptomatic transmission of the virus, which made it very difficult to contain. Any Bioweapon a country produces requires a vaccine to protect the local population. The Chinese Doctors didn't seem to know about Chloroquine (and Zinc's) effects until late January as they were throwing every option at what they had unleashed. One thing is for sure.. it didn't come out of any "wet market".. The Chinese don't eat Horseshoe Bats, though some folks in Africa do. en.wikipedia.org Hawk
