That may be the case, but I will remain of the opinion that they are trying in good faith to report as accurately as they can while doing their best to manage the situation. Doubtless, the numbers will be subject to large revisions as our understanding grows and cases are reviewed and possibly reclassified. China and Iran, on the other hand, have long histories of overtly lying and omitting critical information. All data to this point must be examined with at least some degree of speculation and uncertainty.
