>>Everyone here seems to be focusing on SparQ, but SyQuest seems to be ignoring the product.<<

Word of mouth seems to be all that is needed to sell the SparQ. It is almost as if it were a limited run only type of offer-- grab one while you can, because they are the best deal around. But bear in mind that it is purposely excluded from Mac users like myself sice it offers no SCSI interface. The product is meant to help stabalize the bottom line and draw more recognition to the SyQuest name and away from Iomega. The reasoning goes that if you are interested in the $199 SparQ, for only $100 more you can get the award winning SyJet that has 50% more capacity and is much faster due to SCSI.

SyQuest undoubtedly make more money on SyJet than on SparQ, so the ads go to SyJet. SparQ sells itself.

Also on the shelves next to the spars were syjets. The shelves opposite were 'loaded' with ioms(collecting dust)
