I gave that a recommend.

I heard something similar, or maybe it was this plan, tossed around on CNBC last week and thought then it had merit. Aiming on workers themselves fits well with other facts on the ground. Supposedly banks are well-capitalized now and most large businesses have strong balance sheets. They shouldn't need much help any time soon other than maintaining payroll. Even the airlines said most can sit almost idle for 6 mos., without long term damage.

Instead of making direct payments to individuals, money would get to them through their employer, I guess.

Trump has said in pressers that any loans to business would have restrictions on it. Can't be used for bonuses and buybacks, companies might be required to suspend dividends for the duration if they accept it, and companies maintain payroll.

Even so, many small businesses will go under if things drag on into fall. And then there's the energy sector.......ugh.
