SK tested 5200/million population. 1/2 of 1%. What is the mechanism under which this stopped the spread?

Reality is that SK was successful because its government can do things like the check the temperature of every person walking into building by infrared camera. THAT's something that matters.

The testing was fucked here, no doubt -- FDA a made a huge mistake when it refused to allow the giant laboratory operations to handle it. Government simply can't compare with private enterprise. Wish someone had asked me.

But it wouldn't have mattered. NY is not about tests. It is about freedom and choices we make as a people.

Two years from now if you ask Americans, "Would you give up the First Amendment to avoid another plague?" the answer, I imagine, would be no. Hopefully.

In the course of maybe two weeks commercial labs have conducted more tests than SK has to date.
