That is the story -- CUGR at the expense of other business -- that the Schroder report tells and, although I have it second hand, the same story in Friday's SSR. Of course, this information has been out there for a little while already, and you'd think it would have been digested by now. But those of us who have been in the stock for a while are generally braced for the occasionally surprisingly bad quarterly report.

I'm not going to predict a number for the upcoming quarter, but I see nothing fundamentally changed with TRMB for 1998 and beyond except for the possibility of Japan problems due to the Asian crisis. TRMB seems to be in increasingly better position in the US car nav market.
