The rate is still too high in Canada. But because the numbers are small, Canada has a chance of containing it (rather than going the mitigation route of the US).

We called our family doctor the other day. They don't see the patients in person anymore. They video conference and use the cell phone camera to examine you. Then based on the severity you get a referral or be told what to do.

I am looking at various countries. South Korea has done an absolutely amazing job of containing it. They effectively stopped the growth within 2 weeks. And they didn't halt daily life.

Germany has the lowest mortality rate all around. I have no idea why or how. I'd love to know.

Spain showed terrible judgement in the beginning and ended up with 40% daily infection rate. But over the past two weeks they have slowed it down to 17%.

I think there is plenty of data here for policy makers to learn what works and what doesn't. I am glad this is happening with something that is not too deadly. Can you imagine how expensive the learning curve would have been if the morality rate was in double digits?! I am hoping that the world will come out of this better prepared for the next pandemic.
