Have you ever paid more for something because you needed it now? CPQ paid a premium for DEC because they don't have time to waste. I believe they will demonstrate equal speed in merging the two organizations and cutting the redundancy. I think this merger is just what CPQ needs too move forward. DELL is going to fall behind if they can't position themselves with something beyond boxes/servers.

For all the traders out there with there trading money tied up with CPQ stock at past higher prices, you'll have to wait awhile until evidence is shown what this merger will do. I think within 3-6 months, the street will see enough evidence of the merger gains to start buying in; maybe sooner.
