To nobody’s surprise, Ocasio-Cortez is lying about Collins’ alleged pandemic funding fight. What she’s referring to is the 2009 stimulus bill with which lawmakers on both sides argued against including pandemic funding in that particular package. A Hill article at the time quoted Schumer bragging about removing the funding. “All those little porky things that the House put in, the money for the [National] Mall or the sexually transmitted diseases or the flu pandemic, they’re all out,” he announced. Where is AOC’s rage towards Cryin’ Chuck?
