I don't have the tools in my kit to know <g>
I'm rooting for option "a", but have to play it defensively with option "b" until we see if and what happens during a test of the low to see how important it was. I was thinking earlier that yesterday's low had the potential to be the end of a wave down - just not sure at what degree. I do see the potential for this bounce to extend to SPX 2700 (or higher).

back to the top of my post - short answer, don't know <g>

Ah it would have been tough times for quite a while but what would our old friend Jacob think of airlines and the oil patch these days. NFLX and semis short would have been brutal though.

<what exactly do you intend to short?>

Consumer discretionary of some sort. I'll choose among:

KLIC above $14.50
NFLX at any price
airlines (yes, I know, they've been a horrible short so far)
TSLA (expensive electric cars are the ultimate consumer discretionary)
IOC (LNG developer in Papua New Guinea; I see no market, and no financing)
