Sun,
I agree with you--the 100,000 confirmed cases should be taken out by Friday(3/26/20). As I prepared this message the number for today sits at a tad over 66,000. Two days with the recent trend should make the 100,000 an easy target. However, I have a question about how quick the 170,000 -200,000 number will be reached. In your methodology, how do your account for the possibility we have hit the daily ability to test more patients. In my area, they are facing a shortage of ancillary items needed in order to perform the test--and get the results back within days. If we have hit that limit--how do you factor this possibility into reaching the larger projection. Bottomline--we can't expect test results for more people than they have tested! In my area, they have shutdown traveling and require a stay-at-home edict...…...this will deter "some" people going out seeking a place to get their test performed---note that I said "some" because I live in area that many believe this is all a hoax and aren't worried about a virus.
