Despite some time appearances to the contrary, I am not really the kind of person who just engages people in debates. So I won't be contacting him, especially since the evidence will show itself soon enough.

As an FYI, the 170k number assumes a reduction in the current rate, which I am not seeing but am hoping for. So it is a conservative estimate.

So 140,000 today. I was a bit too optimistic with my 130k projection last Wednesday. I’ll take the under on 400k by next Monday.

Most importantly, today’s numbers show a steep drop in the rate of US death increase. If this trend continues, we will be out of the woods in two or three weeks time, particularly if the rate of hospitalization can stabilize. That’s the key to get the medical professionals to relax.
