Bribery and corruption could work... the trouble is... picking the right currency or goods that will be worth something moving forward ? Goods already hoarded, like loo roll, probably not the best choice. Also making sure avoiding becoming kick dog when cornered by hostiles of various descriptions... including law enforcement agencies, and foreign military operations. Maybe the best plan is stick to being decent human being? Some very difficult choices given the scenario.
