The actual number of cases in the US are 3x the reported value. But due to lack of wide spread testing, we only get to note the hardest hit ones that show up in a clinic. Which is to say, we have over a 200k cases already, but we are confirming only a third of them. NYC already asked that testing be done judiciously and be limited to healthcare workers and sever cases, because they don't have enough tests, regents, and staff. And yes, even with this under-reported testing, the US will exceed Italy by tonight/tomorrow morning.
