just guessing on the let the virus run theory. much more orderly to send them home, and spread out the cases than have all of everywhere in the most forked up traffic in the world make a run on the hospitals when parents start to cough. too early to say for Team India. But if they keep the score low,,, due to looking that way,,, instead of this way... it will make team USA look like a shithole country. Then start considering how much the visas will open up. team america is earning its spot. fuck me,,, how my mind gets sent down these rabbit holes....

It looks like a big mistake to shut down India to avoid WuFlu spread. Median male Indian age is 27. Median male Italian age is 44. The risk profile in Italy is greatly more than in India. Proportion of those over age 70 in India is, I guess, vastly less than in Italy. Meanwhile, Indians live cheek by jowl, and hand to mouth, with food supplies spread out in markets all over the place and not many giant supermarkets with convenientl SUVs to obtain supplies with refrigerators and freezers in houses. And my experience is that Indians have bullet proof immune systems. I'd be surprised if a stupid Made in China sars virus can compete with the carnage going on in India. Not to mention the unsuitable climate for a WuFlu to have a nice time. Looks like a catastrophe in the making in India, but not due to the WuFlu but due to bung government decisions. Mqurice
