They are going to get unemployment benefits for 4 months at $600/wk and will get $1,200 checks per adult. It's not enough and they will suffer the most. The support for businesses both small and large will help to keep many others employed until we get out the other end of this.

Having said all that, and I'm glad we're doing something for all these people who are suffering, but when we examine the cost, the fact is that we are totally screwed. This has just about signed the death warrant for our currency. The Fed is driving us towards a Zimbabwe outcome and the Congress is spending like a drunken sailor. We're all feeling great about it from a virtue signaling perspective, but I'm thinking we should have just let this virus take its course without killing our economy. The economic destruction very well may be harder on people and cause more deaths in the long run than the death toll from the virus.

This is not just a humanitarian disaster. We are watching our country's greatest strengths, our economy and our currency, get turned into our biggest weaknesses.
