talking in each other's faces...Ho Ho! Yup, that's a New Yorker....get right in your face and tell you what's what about whatever. Kind of a local way of doing things, as I recall from going to school back there. Unfortunately, that's a habit they should shake immediately.

Yup, my sister in Long Island confirms that is how it is in New York.

Meanwhile, here in Canada, most of my neighbors are indoors or masked when outside.

I live in Kirkland Washington not far from the hospital where the first person passed away.
We have a slow increase in the number of cases here and I have been somewhat reassured by the tests results here that show 93% negative tests for testing in our state.

However the test results coming out of New York and New Jersey are terrifying to me.
Over 33% of their tests are positive.

My sense is that the level of danger you state (or country) is in can be judged by the percentage of tests that are positive.
