10,000,000 ounces of gold, 750,000,000 onces of silver plus all that metal Cu, Zn. I can't believe the VSE lets them release this news. In house scoping study give me break. This is only based on 12 RC holes. Their news release last year on this property showed no widths and grades just a major discovery.

The place placement another joke. 1,900,000 units at 0.30 cents to Andes Drilling. Why would a drilling company do a private placement. Probably El Misti owes them. This is a way to cancel debts.

and this is just the beginning of promo's ....

The Prospector Exploration and Investment

January/February 1998 issue

The front page covers PICKING SOUTH AMERICA'S PORTFOLIO PLUMS

... then continues on page 5 on various companies ... the part of El Misti ...

" Although cash is anarguably king right now, there are other signs of strength that investors might want to be aware of when it comes to some of these companies. Companies such as El Misti Gold Limited (EMG-VSE) can quietly percolate their prospects until opportunity becomes writ large in letters of success. The company, while short green on the surface of it, has raised nearly $4 million in the past couple of quarters through a combination of debt consolidation and private placements. Clearly, sofisticated investors are lining-up positions now. Drills have chewed through 32,000 metres of rock and through $17 million on the Sinchao property in Peru and the company reports 3 million ounces of drill-indicated gold-equivalent reserves as a result. Drills turned again in early December as part of a 5,000 metre program financed by the drilling contractor. Such is the power of belief.

El Misti also has a tailing project that looks to be a 36 month cash generator, giving the company a bit more breathing space as the squeeze forces others into dilutionary financings. The project is due to come on line early 1998. "
