Steve, Agreed, honesty above all is the lifeblood of a good company. By purposefully delaying the annual report it was apparent to me that PeakSoft was not doing well and was trying to "hide" behind obvious delays to keep investors from pulling out. To bad, PeakSoft seemed like such a cool little company with the potential to go somewhere, that looks less likely now, there is to much competition in this niche now. Time will tell. The Intranet Solutions links sound like a competitor targeted more toward Lotus Notes, it has features that sound similar in concept/functionality, more for business applications, from what I can tell. I am wondering if Billy might have had the right idea to cut his losses and run. I wish him well, he just reached the end of his patience and the outlook seems bleak. If PeakSoft doesn't lower its price for NetMagnet to about $25 and sell 200K-400K units they won't survive this year. It would give them the capitalization to develop additional products and make them a more viable takeover candidate by a larger suitor, looking for new technologies. PeakSoft, this is addressed to you, Consumers are looking for value, to many fancy features that won't be used are of no use except to a few "power users", probably 2-3% of your target market may benefit from the full range of features. A consumer might pay $20-25 for a web enhancement utility if it really improves the performance/time of his browser. 99.5% of typical users won't spend any more than $25 regardless of the product. Your goal should be to undercut the competition and grab market share and establish dominance in your niche. DON'T PRICE YOURSELF OUT OF BUSINESS, BE AGGRESSIVE IN YOUR MARKETING/PRICING! You will get more distributors if the product will sell quickly and customers will perceive "value" in their purchase. BB
