I suppose this is bragging, but I do recognize that it is merely good luck that can easily turn around and go the other way.

However, I finally was able to purchase a position in Matthews Korea and after one day of trading I am up better than 10%--actually that's a day and half counting Saturday.

Please feel free to rub my nose in it when it goes back down!

Jyoti if I were fully invested in Asia that would be a sure sign of calamity for Asia. I am virtually always wrong but I am learning.

With perhaps less levity here I am sure you have noted the arrest of the Japanese burecrats in the Ministry of Finance. My friends in Japan said this sort of thing was coming but I simply didn't believe them.

More to this latrer if someone else doesn't post Alexander Kinmount's ideas about the immediate future of Japan I will. He is still the best and smartest on the block in what, increasingly, is a bad neighborhood.
