I predict everyone will get the flu shot next year.

Especially with the Corona which we're all hoping scared about thus far is not near the death threshold for flu (at least in the US). Hopefully it wouldn't get there, but who knows.

Remember, Flu has 20k - 80k deaths/year over the past 10 years - and the 1968 H3N2 Hong Kong flu killed 100K in the US, 1 million in the world, and there were much fewer people then and travel was not quite as rampant (to take a plane, you did need to have $$$)

CoViD vaccines next flu season.... Inter alia, this will depend on whether or not we use research / products from other countries - or, wait for everything to be done in the US.

Another “superquestion” is - what is the true incidence of the disease? If 80-90% of the cases are mild or asymptomatic, then we may be building up high levels of herd immunity without even knowing it. I think this is far from a given, but a decent probability. If you remember, this was my “original” explanation for the differences in mortality between Hubei and other parts of China. We would be very lucky if that’s the case.

Serological surveys will give us the answer very soon.

If herd immunity rates will prove high, IMHO that would be a great reason to be even more careful and NOT get sick. Why be one of the last to die in an epidemic which may prove to be a one shot deal?
