Some of us were never conned. From before day 1. Trump has always been a phony sleazebag sociopath. When he was younger, he was much better at hiding it.

What’s sad is I have no idea if you’re actually serious about that. So many of you take MSNBC seriously you might actually think that.

I don't know why you persist in the notion that folks can't perceive what's going on and draw their own conclusions. For most things, MSNBC is redundant.

Based on Trump's history to date, the conclusion that his action was

1- keep the furriners out, and
2- especially keep the germy furriners out.

That's simple instinct for him. Since he operates mostly on instinct, it's sufficient to conclude that's why he took the action.

That's not to say that it couldn't have occurred to him that the move also would buy time so he would be killing two birds, but, since he did not take advantage of the bought time, it's unlikely almost to the point of ridiculous.
