I hope that can happen, but the tests are set up to make sure nobody knows. Maybe some analyst in the background can be analyzing in real time. Still would probably be 2 weeks before conclusions could be drawn I would think, in this situation that is a long time, especially since side effects are so known and rare. In worst case nobody puts their neck on the line until all the statistical tests are done and possibly even critiqued.

I don't have a link to this but I think I read the NY study wasn't going to be a formal double blind study. That they're going to treat a bunch of people and see what happens,

Maybe someone has better information than me.
