The EU was always a fiction. The Brits figured that out before any other country. The Italians have now learned the hard way. The problem with the Italians is that they have mismanaged their country for decades and they thought they could join the EU and get a free lunch. Now they are learning there is no free lunch and that in a time of crisis, the EU is not helping. So they turn to the Chinese for help. What they have not realized yet is that the Chinese will not really help either. Instead, they will take over and put the Italians under a Communist yolk.

What all countries and people need to learn is that the only person you can rely on when the chips are down is yourself. A country sufficiently self sufficient and united can withstand all kinds of stresses. To be clear, I don't put the US in that category. We are not united. We have 50% of this country that wants to see our President fail, even if that means millions more American deaths. So we have a very big problem in this country. The Socialists and Communists are doing their best to take over.

Worse, the conservatives who are now in charge are up to their old tricks. Think on this for a second. Congress just passed a $2.2T relief package. Inside it is $450B for the Fed to lever up to $4T in loans in the economy. So let's round it down to $6T. Take that and divide by 300M Americans and we get a package that has cost the taxpayer $2,000 per person. And what do they get in return? $1,200 checks. That's Socialism for you. The government taxes you $2,000 in order to give you back $1,200. And this was the Conservatives doing it? So the Democrats are Socialist and now the Republicans are also Socialist, not to mention Fascist for the giant corporate bailouts in there.

So I have one thing to say: "WTF!" We have no fiscal and monetary conservatives left in this country. I may very well be the last one alive.

So what is the solution? I'll answer that question with another question. Was this economic shutdown really necessary?
