Exactly. People touch their face a lot, without even realizing it.

But the additional nitrile glove protection thing is for additional protection from exposure when you leave home to go to the grocery store, C store, ATM, or any of the myriad places we go to regularly, without giving it a thought.

Where I am, at least half of the shoppers at the grocery store now are wearing disposable nitrile or latex gloves. That has happened over just the past week.

Coming soon to stores near you.

If you're wearing gloves and get that urge to touch your face or scratch an itch, the gloves themselves remind you to be cautious....that you're wearing them for a reason

Also, this week I finally left the house after three weeks!! But I stuck to my rule which is to only use my right gloved hand to pick up things at the grocery store, open doors, etc. I use my left gloved hand to touch a itch on face, brush hair out of my eyes, and pull my credit card out for the machine. As I exited the store, I rolled off both gloves and put them in a plastic bag that was in my purse.

I wasn't able to find face masks in time, and the order I put in is still not shipping. So I went to the store without one but went an hour before closing and there were very few people shopping.
