It's common to go full chimp when having discussions with people who think something different. I remember Henry well, as well as the abominable manner in which he was treated.
The ability to reason and understand things is quite low in most people. Let's face facts, the average IQ is only 100 - even at 160 people can be ignorant of basic facts, and in a fatal way, such as not knowing that vitamin B12 is an essential ingredient of life and that vegetarian diets provide none, depending on your definition of vegetarian.
And most people are unable to think new things. Coming up with totally new ideas that are actually realistic, based on actual physics, economics, psychology, chemistry, engineering, is just not part of nearly everyone.

And many ideas are accessible to only a very few 0.0000001% of people such as in organizing quantum tunneling in photon theory. Most of us might as well be chimps.
