I'm not trying to make us look better. The West is what it is. Since the Magna Carta was written in 1215, the West has chosen individual freedom and self-actualization over tyranny and social conformity. I'm in total support of that. It's no accident that the West has produced the greatest body of achievement in the arts and sciences. The downside is, however, is it's more difficult getting Westerners to bend to the rules in a crisis. But we get there, and we will this time probably producing something wonderful in tech or medicine along the way. What I do disagree with is the modeling being adopted by the Left. Decisions that could have terrible consequences are being made on it. Cuomo, himself, today rejected Fauci's idea that US cases could end up being between 100,000 and 200,000. He said he was going with modeling done by the Gates Foundation and another one, whose name I couldn't hear clearly. Haven't checked but am assuming the Gates modeling suggests higher numbers. Maybe you know?
