First, the WHO tests are nowhere near scalable. At its height, Korea was able to do 10k tests per day. Obviously, US has to be able to scale well beyond that, into the 100k and more range. As of two weeks ago, Korea had done a total of 250k tests.

Their success has been more about curtailed personal freedom. For example, the ability to record the temperature of every person walking down the street and require immediate action if it is high. You can’t do that in the US.

You’re being very simplistic.
