Unless of course your on a downtrend from a hot seller. Then the shelves pile up quickly especially when the supplier meets all there shipments to make sure they can put it on their bottom line for that quarter!

Or when a supplier has promised to spend 100million in advertising so the retailer decides to hang onto the slow moving product a little longer.

A tale of a tangled web comes to mind. Seems a few large holders saw through CE's plan.
