Terry, it is not clear that oil drillers have seen bottom yet. Previously the drillers moved in the same direction as the price of oil, today the price of oil surged and drillers did not respond positively. When all the short covering is over, the stocks will continue to float down unless value buyers step in. And no one knows when they will step up to the plate. I suspect fundies will wait for confirmation and validation ... after all, that's what makes them the herd.
