I used it last Friday.

Basically you go to the zoom website and put in the name of the meeting + meeting password. I didn't even have to sign up.

I used my $85 five year old Groupon chromebook, but because I used the microphone but not the cam I got shamed by the host, and I had to rip the bandaid off the dang camera.
