I'm in Southwest Missouri. I have tons of deer and turkey on my place. Problem is most of them are tame. We have to be careful and not shoot our pets. I know most of them and have nicknames for them based on their appearance/markings. We feed the tame deer in the winter. They have to come to the porch to get fed or they don't eat. I had 4 Tom turkeys that were tame but 2 didn't make it through the winter. Not sure if it was old age or coyote/bobcat got them. The surviving two have been strutting in my yard for the last few weeks. They brought their hens with them the last couple days and the hens ran off when they saw me. I guess they think the Tom's are crazy.
I don't shoot the biggest ones as they are my breeders. I usually cull the ones with bad racks or does that don't make good fawns. I have a few does that have strong twins every year and stay close to the house. They're my favorites.

I wish I could post pictures here. I've had 50 turkey in my yard at a time and dozens of deer. Not often but every once in a while, it's like they're throwing a party.
