I was PM'd by one of the many SANE, CONSERVATIVE MINDED contributors to this board, who are obviously not afflicted with severe cases of TDS, about Several TYPICALLY SNARKY, SARCASTIC AND UNCALLED FOR remarks, from one or two of the 25 IMBECILIC MORNS on my SWITCHED OFF IGNORE LIST, about the COVID-19 situation in the country, South Africa, where I reside. I saw NO REASON why those Leftist, Severely TDS Afflicted ARSHOLES should be allowed to get away with SUCH CRAP, so I put together the following from the recent Official numbers as published and presented by our Minister of Health, Dr. Zweli Mkhize :- ================================================================================= Minister Zweli Mkhize confirms total of 1 585 cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 ........ 4 Apr 2020. As at today, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is 1585. This is an increase of 80 from the previously reported cases. The provincial breakdown is as follows:- GAUTENG = 693 WESTERN CAPE = 433 KWAZULU – NATAL = 232 FREE STATE = 85 NORTH WEST = 11 MPUMALANGA = 18 LIMPOPO = 18 EASTERN CAPE = 25 NORTHERN CAPE = 7 UNALLOCATED = 63 The total number of COVID-19 tests conducted to date is 53 937. Reporting of confirmed deaths :- South Africa now has a total of 9 confirmed deaths associated with COVID-19. NO. .. PROVINCE.................. SEX......... AGE 1 WESTERN CAPE ...........FEMALE........ 48 2 FREE STATE................... MALE ............85 3 GAUTENG...................... MALE .............79 4 KWAZULU-NATAL.......... FEMALE........ 80 9 KWAZULU-NATAL ..........MALE............. 80 ================================================================================= And here is the latest Population number for South Africa :- ================================================================================= So, based on all of the above, if one does a bit of basic arithmetic, which I realize will be a bit difficult for Leftists and Liberals to follow, we get the following in Percentage terms :- No. of Confirmed COVID-19 cases per head of population = (1585/59308690)x100 = 0.0027% No. of Confirmed COVID-19 deaths per head of population = (9/59308690)x100 = 0.000015% No. of Confirmed COVID-19 deaths per Confirmed COVID-19 case = (9/1585)x100 = 0.568%. In terms of the ages of those who, unfortunately, died we see the following :- Deaths of those individuals greater than 70 years = 6 Deaths of those individuals between 60 and 70 years = 1 Deaths of those individuals less than 60 years and greater than 40 years = 2. So the percentage of deaths over the age of 60 years was (7/9)x100 = 77.78%. The percentage of deaths over the age of 70 years was (6/9)x100 = 66.67%*. ================================================================================= I would say that those statistics are pretty much on a par with the rest of the countries in the world who are performing well with the COVID-19 situation at the current time .... And to those of the 25 Leftist, TDS Morns on my IGNORE LIST, who made UNCALLED FOR AND DISPARAGING REMARKS about the situation in my country, all I can say to them is ---> "FUCK OFF" !!!
