Doug 16 posts since your excellent post. Only 1 person even acknowledged your attempt to revitalize. Thanks for that effort.
I will add my little part. I picked up the phone and called Rourke. I discovered the following. Of course this is all hear- say and I recommend that someone call to verify

A) They only work on a cash basis. There is never an instance where they take stocks, warrants or anything in return for their business.
B) They have an in house Investors Relations department designed to work with the company on IPO roll outs
C) Their fees are set up on a budgetary system. for example a maintenance relationship for a company with a capitalization of under 10million would be $7,500-$10,000 monthly. This includes a Supervisor at a VP level that earns $195.00 per hour, Senior account supervisor that earns 100-125.00 per hour, a coordinator/secretary @ $65.00 an hour. your budget is flexible upwards depending on how you bill out that month. of course they have to sign off the increase.
D) They will do aggressive advanced media for all trade shows. They will make sure media types are given the opportunity to meet with you at the shows. They will put them with you is his quote. than we will teach you how to interact with the media.

I hessitated posting this because I never want to step on Franklins toes. I am not saying that this is the deal Franklin has. What I am saying is that this is a standard deal for a company their size.

I just want to add that I work as hard at my real job as most anyone hear that is not an ER doctor. I find the time to research things that I lay money down on. I love the interaction we have here. I have learned alot on this thread as well . But I know nothing until I hear with my 2 ears. It pisses me off that we need to go to E-mail so we can control the information that is discussed. I refuse to go that route. I know that I would not be missed on your E-mail but thats not the point. I am just not the type to give in because 3 posters have thick skins and thick heads.

Sorry soap box nuf said

Chris, In case, you did not get the post on the other board, Do Not sign me to the Email list. I will state what I have to say right here, if I feel like saying anything.

Sorry to break the show of solidarity but you know what? I could not care less whether 3 idiots want me to say what I feel like saying or not. If I want to talk off topic I will go to Seth's great thread, Otherwise, Anybody who wishes can find me right here.

Chris, I owe you a debt of gratitude, for your post has brought out the silent majority. I have seen 3 or 4 people try to dictate the tone of thread that was started long before them and will perist long after them. I have seen 50 plus people state that they want to share information, well that's enough for me.

Anyone want to cast their vote to stay? Well then make a post, do not cast a vote, that's only step one, step two is to participate, the only way to ensure the survival of this thread.

Doug and Seth, if you guys want to talk, I am here and as always it will be a pleasure to share my feelings, thoughts and dreams with both of you.

Doug, the look in their eyes and thats all I need to know:-) Those reps saw and heard the same thing I and every attender of the NYC Demo did. I do not need to know the details, when Frank decides to tell the world how he will change IT from meaning Internet Telephony into meaning Internet Telecommunications, then everyone else will know. That will answer the naysayers or prove them right. The bets are on the table or the chips are on the sideline and I like the company on the table then those who sit in the Peanut Gallery hissing!

I wonder how much research anyone has actually done into the word Co-Location. I have and folks what you have read in the news release is all you need to know about the relationship! Co-Locayion is not a nice choice of words. It is a Business Concept, that you can find on the Web. When they understand the word, they will understand the relationship.

This battle has already been fought and won, when news arrives from the Front of the Victory, I will be here to discuss it.

Doug you are the best. And since Byron isn't here and don't you think he would be PO'd:-), I will say it til he gets back.

Endeavor To Perservere!

Evan

R. Yearick is right on about the significance of the Worldcom connection. Remember a little company called UUnet which got gobbled up by Worldcom last year? Unfortunately I sold my UUnet stock when it had gone up 50% prior to the acquisition. I don't plan to make the same mistake with FTEL. (By the way I see Valuspec's purchase of BNGO has now dropped to 4.5 while FTEL has kept north of 5 - and it has only been one week so far!)

Doug, your post is most excellent and I appreciate you sharing it. Such information could not have been obtained by many on this thread. Oh the good old days. It's contributions like yours that will help keep this thread together. I think that the AT&T announcement today will turn many more heads to the reality of IT and the future of telecommunications. Franklin has a great opportunity to be an important part of that future. I read in a recent article that was previously posted on this thread that WorldCom was not interested in IT because it was still in it's infancy stage. However, it is very possible that they have indirectly entered the IT market and no one knows it. Sounds just like something Frank would think of. However, this is just speculation.
