I agree with you. This could be the best or worst move they've ever made. Hard to tell right now. If what I have read in this forum is true and they have been considering this purchase since 1995, they certainly have had enough time to develop their strategy or game plan for this aquisition. Hopefully there is a group of CPQ managers that are right now beginning the implementation of that plan.

If what I understand about CPQ is true, we will not have long to wait before see what their master plan is. Apparently they are very quick in reacting to changes in their business. Some companies have been very successful in building themselves up via aquisition ala CSCO. We can only hope CPQ is as successful.
