You are right Allen, but I guess I still feel like JacK, he didn't have to say it like he said it.

Allen - John, just trying to catch-up on the posts after a tortuous day on the slopes <g>.

This gets right to the heart of the matter. In listening to the call twice, I was appaled by the way this fundamental and critical piece of info was buried.
It finally came out all kicked and scratched when KE was virtually arguing with a couple of analysts about why they just didn't go with price cuts.
Simply by beginning the news about the ad campaign with a comment like, "Extensive market research has indicated to us that .......... threfore, we will be investing 100mm to produce the results which this research has shown to be possible. And we will implement strategic price cuts to optimize the effects created by our marketing."

I still think it is very curious that such a critical announcement was handled as poorly as it was. In all the hours of CC's I have listened to, it was the worst bit of speaking I have heard KE do.
