One more observation..... IOM has some refurbished drives to move. They are selling them at all the big chains for $99. If they cut the price on the new ZIPS, they will have to cut on the refurbished. OUCH.

Creative offer coming from Western Digital and IOM through Comp USA.

Buy a Western Digital 5 gig drive (4 gigs + 1 gig is how it has to be advertised although it is really a 5 gig drive in a 4 gig box) and you can buy a refurbished zip for $49.99. ONE HELL OF A DEAL! The Western Digital 5 gig drive is selling for $229 with a $30 mail in rebate. This should help move some of the refurbished.

The stock has hit bottom...Has anyone considered that the drop in stock price is just what KE was hoping for? (By the way he did unload a large holding in November.) The effect of the latest drop must be to clear out short positions and bring sustainability to any upward movement in price from this point forward.

From here on, new products contribute incremental, and currently under-anticipated, revenues to the bottom line. Shareholders stand to gain by management giving a cautious outlook - the expectations can now be exceeded easily from here on.

My hat goes off to KE for a skillful resetting of expectations and creation of shareholder value through savvy advertising and creation of "brand equity".
