I don't know if we still agree on market direction but I would not bet based on the results of the Game. More unnerving was the poor showing the first week or so of January. A similar indicator to the Game, as early January is also a reliable predictor.

Anyway, presuming we are still on the same page with this stuff, it remains to be seen just how low the market will be in June or so before it starts it next leg up. If it goes low enough there may be so much technical damage that it will take until the Spring of '99 to get back to the highs of last year, I think. In effect, then, the prophecy shall be fulfilled and stockbrokers all over the nation will view next year's Game with trepidation and Alka-Seltzer.
