Daniel, CPQ has indeed shown that they can do this with their own
operations, which is why I'm guardedly optimistic that they can
turn around DEC. However, I am reminded of a statistic that
I gor from an M&A course I took that 80-90% of all acquisitions
fail, in the sense that they don not provide a return at or above
the cost of capital. Aside from overpaying, intergration risk is
paramount.
