Well, it's often the case that if there's an upsurge in the Market it's those companies with Quality Financial Fundamentals, that include good Bottom Line Earnings and Margins, that will be among the companies that move up first seeing as they will be sought after.
SYK's financial fundamentals looked fine to me.

A similar thing seems to have happened with LRCX, a stock I bought back in November last year, for $270.50.
It's moved up in the last few days and is now only about 3% down. Let's see how it goes ....



Personally I'm often puzzled by the purchases of shares in companies that show very thin Bottom Line Margins or even Bottom Line losses, but are sometimes purchased just because their book value is greater than their share price.
