Hi Al- Los Compadres is very well known in the area and has great food. Don't know if they still have one in Palo Alto or not... I'll check. I remember them winning the annual Chilli Cookoff a few years ago. They had great chilli. We have a Chevy's nearby plus a few places in Redwood City where they may not speak English. If a small restaurant with a limited menu is OK, we've got a great place right here in Menlo Park called Mextogo. I've never had to apologize for the food. In fact, I ate there last night. Ev can't deal with spicy food, so it's just the 3 amigos! Besides, if an item has anything over 1 gram of fat in it her vocal cords goes into a seizure if she tries to even say the word! :-) I'll do a little research so you can have a choice. I take it Taco Bell may not rank real high on your list of "must try's"! :-) Bruce
